Greenland Halibut is a rich, tender white fish with a mild, slightly sweet flavour and a naturally moist texture. Compared with leaner white fish, it has a higher fat content, which gives the flesh a softer, more succulent character.
Our Greenland Halibut is supplied frozen and is easy to prepare once thawed. Its flavour is delicate enough for simple cooking, but rich enough to work well with butter, lemon, herbs and green vegetables.

Cooking Tips
Defrost slowly in the refrigerator before cooking, then pat the surface dry.
For pan-searing, cook in a hot pan with a little oil until lightly golden. If the portion is skin-on, cook mainly on the skin side to help the fillet hold together.
For oven cooking, season simply with salt and pepper, add a little butter or olive oil, and cook gently until the flesh is opaque and tender.
Because Greenland Halibut is naturally rich, lemon, capers, herbs, spinach and other fresh or lightly acidic accompaniments work especially well.
