Weisswurst – or ‘white sausage’ – is a unique German delicacy native to the southern region of Bavaria, where it is traditionally enjoyed for breakfast or as a pre-lunch snack (there is even a saying that the sausages should not be allowed to hear the noon chime of the church bells). Made with veal, this unique sausage gets its signature mild, lightly herbal flavor from its blend of horseradish, leek and parsley. It is usually prepared by boiling, which also gives it a one of a kind soft, tender texture. Ours is made using only the finest fresh ingredients to a traditional recipe, providing a sublime, succulent taste of Germany. Best enjoyed with a splash of mustard and a warm pretzel.
